Safe Minds Index

A standardised, evidence-based psychosocial safety maturity index. Built for board-level governance, regulatory compliance, and decisions that hold up under scrutiny.

The product

From a single score, to every pillar, to every control.

Feature 01 · Measurement

A 0–100 score that reads through documented evidence.

Not self-report. Not a survey. A maturity number built from operational reality.

The Index reads through your existing systems. HR records, incident data, claims, engagement instruments, operational reporting. The output is a single board-ready maturity number with sector-benchmarked context. The headline figure every board wants: where do we stand, and where do we stand against our peers.

Feature 02 · Pillars

Ten pillars. Each mapped to documented controls.

Behind the headline number, a 10-Pillar breakdown showing where the system is strong, where it is thin.

Each pillar covers a discrete area of psychosocial safety practice: leadership commitment, hazard management, work design, consultation, intervention capability, monitoring, governance. Each is scored on a documented maturity scale, turning the abstract score into specific operational territory.

Feature 03 · Hazard detail

Drill from Pillar to hazard to control gap.

Every Pillar opens to its hazard register, its evidence sources, and the controls already in place.

Click into any Pillar and the underlying hazards surface. Categorised, evidenced, and mapped to the controls addressing them. Where evidence is thin, the gap is visible. Where a control is missing, the absence is documented. Nothing reconstructed at audit time.

Feature 04 · Trajectory

Every cycle, compounding evidence.

The Index is built to run on a cycle. Each refresh strengthens the picture.

Outputs become more accurate as data accumulates across cycles. Predictive insight strengthens with each assessment. For boards, the trend line becomes evidence of due diligence over time. For regulators, the audit trail is current, not reconstructed.

Feature 05 · Compliance

Compliance status, always current.

Every control mapped to specific WHS, OHS, and ISO 45003 obligations.

The compliance view shows where you meet the duty, where the duty is partially met, and where the gap is. When jurisdiction-specific guidance updates, the mapping updates with it. The board sees a live position, not a reconstruction at quarter end.

Feature 06 · Reporting

Board-ready reports, generated from live data.

No more reconstructing the picture at quarter end.

Pre-built report templates generate directly from the underlying data: board pack, regulator pack, executive summary, divisional drill-down. Each report carries the evidence trail with it. The audit defence is built in.

Annual saving · per 1,000 workers

$1.18M

Annual saving from improving psychosocial systems above sector benchmark, scaled to a 1,000-worker organisation.

The assessment gave us a clear, practical view of where we stand and what we need to strengthen. InCheq's approach was straightforward, evidence-based, and grounded in how our operations actually work.
